Complexo do Alemão is located in the northern zone of Rio de Janeiro, is made up of fifteen communities and has a population of around 200,000 inhabitants.

Américas Amigas has already offered some 30 thousand hours of training and capacity building

Through its Capacitation and Training Program, Amigas Américas has already offered about 30 thousand hours of improvement for technicians, doctors and other professionals in the mammography area from public and philanthropic institutions in 20 states or 77% of the Brazilian territory.

Women Friends Campaign - March 2020

Despite the premature interruption, by March 17, 724 women had received care at the Mobile Unit of the Patrocínio Cancer Hospital, where they underwent free mammography and ultrasound tests.

Auxiliary Ship Pará

In another Civic and Social Action (ACiSo), from 8 to 24 May, the Auxiliary Ship Para, of the Brazilian Navy, provided assistance to the Ajuruxi and Ariramba riverside communities, among other communities with difficult access in the state of Macapá.
