In support of the Fleury Group, Américas Amigas and the Mobile Unit of Patrocínio Cancer Hospital participated in the action VOLUNTEERS OF THE SERTÃO that took place in Poções, sertão of Bahia from April 29 to May 3.

The action had the participation of more than 700 volunteers and provided mammography and diagnostic ultrasound exams for 407 women in situations of social vulnerability. There were 10 cases that required core biopsy, collected during the action in Poções. The samples were brought to São Paulo and analyzed by the Fleury laboratory.three cases of breast cancer were confirmed and the patients were referred to reference hospitals for treatment of the disease.
