Did You Know? Ana celebrates 2 years this month

AnA, our mascot, turns 2 this month.

The choice of a butterfly as mascot was because it symbolises transformation.

Symbol of Américas Amigas since its foundation, the little butterfly, Ana, is a literal representation of the transformation process experienced by those facing breast cancer. From diagnosis, referral and treatment to achieving a cure, there is a long and often arduous process of transformation for women.

Being an active part of this process is the mission of Américas Amigas. Transforming lives, through information, awareness, training of professionals, donation of equipment and supplies, and donation of tests for early detection and diagnosis of the disease.
