On 13/10 we had the pleasure of being represented by our supporter and friend, the businesswoman Suzana Gullo who held a live with Dr Vivian Milani, MD, Radiologist specialising in women's health and manager of diagnostic imaging services for the public health network of Sao Paulo.
Suzana, who had breast cancer at the age of 39 and beat the disease, tells us about her journey from the discovery of the disease, treatment, family support and the whole post-diagnosis process until the cure.
During the live they also talked about self examination and mammography, the importance of each one and their role in obtaining early diagnosis. Dr Vivian also talked about how the pandemic is affecting the cases of breast cancer and the treatments. And they closed the conversation telling about the work that Americas Amigas is doing to close partnerships in all regions of Brazil and donate detection and diagnosis exams for women in situations of social vulnerability.
