Women Friends - Amazon Season 2022

A partnership between Américas Amigas and Daiichi Sankyo Brasil, the action began on March 8, 2022, and toured the north, northeast and central-west regions of the country, bringing free breast cancer detection and diagnosis tests to around 4,000 low-income women aged 40 and over.

The mobile unit passed through Palmas (TO), São Luís (MA), Belém (PA), Santarém (PA), Manaus (AM) and ended in Cuiabá (MT) in June of the same year. In all, there were 95 days on the road and 60 days of service.

The initiative also includes a two-day workshop in Belém/PA to train community health workers and primary health care nurses.

A total of 4,742 women were attended to, including examinations and consultations carried out in the trailer, with 4,374 mammograms performed
