Américas Amigas donated 23 mammography devices from North to South of Brazil

Americas Amigas, through support and partnerships promoted, from 2009 to the present, the donation of 23 mammography devices installed in public and philanthropic health units in Brazil. Besides the mammography devices, Americas Amigas also donated image digitalizers (CRs), stereotaxis table, dry printer, vacuum biopsy kits and systems, peripherals, Core biopsy needles and mammography films.

Thanks to the mammographies donated, approximately 850,000 mammographies were made available to women throughout Brazil and around 6,000 cases of breast cancer were detected, making diagnosis possible, which speeds up the start of treatment.
