Marque Esse Gol 2016 Campaign

FPF's partnership with NGOs will offer free mammograms in São Paulo stadiums

São Paulo, October 2016 - The São Paulo Football Federation, in partnership with affiliated clubs and the NGOs Amigas Américas and Meninas do Peito, is promoting the "Score that Goal" campaign during "Pink October" in São Paulo stadiums.

Starting in October, the surroundings of the stadiums of Palmeiras, São Paulo, Santos, Ponte Preta and Botafogo-SP will receive mobile units for women's care. The trucks will remain for two days in each arena. Corinthians will also hold an action also focused on Pink October with exams.

The trucks will have equipment to perform free mammograms, by appointment. The FPF and the NGOs expect to perform around 600 exams over 10 days.

"The Federation is proud to participate in this project and connect an extremely noble cause with football, our main sport. Collaborating with social and educational causes throughout the state is one of the main motivations of this new management and the new model of the FPF", said Robson Silveira, Marketing Director of the Federação Paulista de Futebol.

Besides the trucks around the stadiums, the campaign will also have the direct participation of the clubs' athletes. Players of the teams are supporting the campaign, receiving women linked to NGOs in the CTs and recording awareness videos on the theme.

For Francisca Harley, president of Américas Amigas, it is very gratifying to see the growth of the project already in its second edition. "In 2015, Corinthians and Palmeiras supported the campaign and helped us make Marque esse Gol dar dar dar dar dar. This year, in addition to the FPF Sponsorship, we will have the support of other major clubs in São Paulo to provide the exam to more women and be able to give them a chance at life. It is this type of partnership that makes our work all year long worthwhile", he comments.

Another action foresees that the players take the field in some matches accompanied by women linked to the campaign. There will also be the distribution of roses to female fans, as well as the display of banners about the campaign inside the pitch.

Women interested in having an examination in one of the mobile units should register through the website www.marqueessegol.com.br. Those selected will receive a confirmation e-mail with date and time of scheduling. Besides mammography, the trucks will also perform diagnostic ultrasound exams, if necessary.
