We need to reduce mortality from breast cancer

Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer among women in Brazil and worldwide, after non-melanoma skin cancer. According to INCA estimates, 73,920 new cases of the disease are expected each year by 2025 in Brazil. That's why Américas Amigas continues to fight to bring more and more screenings to more and more people across the country.

The trailer of the Hospital de Patrocínio in Minas Gerais, equipped with a mammography machine donated by Américas Amigas, has been used since 2015 to go to underprivileged communities in various parts of Brazil and donate breast cancer detection and diagnosis tests to the population.

Women Friends Donation of Breast Cancer Detection & Diagnosis Exams at UNIFESP

During the month of October the Mulheres Amigas Campaign offered breast cancer detection and diagnosis exams at the Mastology Outpatient Clinic of the Escola Paulista de Medicina - Universidade Federal de São Paulo, UNIFESP.
